Managed to get (almost) everything connected today but a few things have me properly scratching my head most of my labelling withstood the test of time, albeit a few months, but a few either lost their labels or i forgot to label them. First off is the connection for the fan. I cant seem to find this anywhere on the loom. The connection for the air con fan (which i have removed) is in amongst the passenger headlighs wiring but there' no sign of the engine fan connection. Any idea where on the loom this is usually located? The connection in question... Next question is just before the driver side headlight wiring are these two connections... Any idea what these are for? Ive looked all over the engine for any empty sockets but there doesnt seem to be anymore. Third quesion for you very patient lot is another 'what is this connector for?' its located just behind the gear stick on the PPF. Many thanks in advance guys and to all perspective builders LABEL, LABEL, LABEL!!!

Oohh, that's some toughies without taking the bonnet off and having a look.....
Question 1: If I recall correctly, the fan connector came from the loom right beside the passenger headlight / MAF sensor.
Question 2: The top connector I don't think is used - seem to remember seeing one just like that left lying loose on mine (been on the road for 3 months now and everything seems to work fine without it). The one you're holding looks much like a side repeater connector to me.
Question 3: Sorry, can't remember having to plug anything in down by the PPF. Could it be for the reverse gear in the 'box?
Sorry I've not given you any definitive answers. If no-one else comes along tonight I'll try and take a look at mine tomorrow and see if I can find anything else out for you.
Cheers,
Steve.

I am in the middle of labelling and removing my loom at the moment I will have a look. Will not be until Wednesday night though. I will watch this thread to see if the answers have been given before looking. Cheers Wayne

Thanks for the replies guys. I think i might have arranged the wiring in an unorthodox kind of way so have got connectors the opposite side of the bay where they need to be JohnP - I had a look at those last night, was going to print them out but my printer wasnt playing ball. I got a mate to print them out earlier so the plan of attack tomorrow is to whip out the elctrics, again, and have another sort through. Hopefully this time i'll have a better allround uderstanding of what im actually looking for.

Second pic big plug looks like it's from the throttle body white plug I'm sure goes on the power steering pump.
Third pic isn't that for the lamb / 02 sensor

The other thing second pic big plug could also be for the carbon canister

Had a look under the bonnet this afternoon for you.
Revised thoughts are as follows: Q1. As stated previously - hopefully moving your loom around will help you with this; Q2. The first connector looks identical to my unused one, EXCEPT it's the wrong colour - mine is actually black! D'oh!!!. The second connector is, as del boy suggested, for the carbon canister. Q3. Sorry, couldn't get underneath to check for you.
Cheers,

Thanks once again guys.
Im sure you'll be glad to know the electrics are now, apart from the earths, all fitted!
Took it all out and started all over again today. Ended up re routing a lot of cables and after a lot of trial and error finally had everything neatly in place. However there's still no sign of the fan connector so im just going to leave it out and keep an eye on the engine temprature to begin with.
Spogman - your connector, assuming its the same one, may have had the yellow insert fall out resulting in it now being black. I had one drop out on me earlier when i wasnt paying much attention, i thought i was going crazy as the connector i had in my hand was yellow then when i looked at it again it was all black!
Tomorrow's plan is to get the earths sorted, double check everything then attempt to fire it up!

Connector is fine thanks Matthew - it was the top connector I was referring to rather than the one you were holding. Glad it's pretty well all sorted now though.

Had a bit of time away from the car to get things sorted around the house and with work but got stuck back in yesterday. Wired everything up but when i went to turn the key there was nothing. I narrowed it down to the Hornet alarm that was fitted so done a bit of research, cut a few wires, reconnected others and got this (the cheesy grin didnt leave me all afternoon!)....... s54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/matlee_2006/?action=view¤t=VIDEO0005.mp4Only issue i can see at the moment is the rev counter isnt moving. Another big thanks to everyone thats been of help up to this point. I really need to start a full build write up.

I had the same issue with the rev counter - took me forever to fix it. In the end a couple of the guys on here helped me out and pointed out that there are a couple of connectors in the loom that were originally near the back of the heater unit that I may have forgotten to connect. Ended up having to strip back loads of taping up to find them but, once done, it worked perfectly.
