Am i drunk or did i get the wrong size brakdisc. the calliper wontfit. i have looked forpictures in the duch and venom build, but dident find anny that showed the fitting of the calliper, from the top side. Please let me hear what you guyes think. Hmmm. I am lookig into the calipers this weekend and i was told by Bas brake disc diameter is 253mm for rear ford focus wheels used for the front wheels on the Tr1ke. A random drawing from a Wilwood caliper shows this size disc is quite large: wilwood.com/images/Caliper/images_dimensions-lg/Forged_Superlite_Internal-cm-lg.jpgI am orientating for Hispec calipers and I would like to know what caliper you have and what spacer you need. Then I would be able to chose a smaller disc to match with the parts. I am not in favour for spacers like you. thanks in advance, Erik

Ps. Who adviced you on the brake parts list. Is this RTR, your distributor or is this homebrew? I am reconsidering not to order any additional hardware until I have the kit at home myself to draw the fundamental parts in CAD myself for proper advice on needed parts at both Hispec and Wilwood.
regards, erik

Thx for your help. I did some research and it seems that the use of spacers is a common modification. Still I am wondering if the disc is too large. The double caliper doesn't need the large disc in our application (?).

Hi Erik,
The way I did mine was to pull as much cable from the tunnel side, then use those micro u clamps to clamp my HiSpec cable to the cable from the hand brake whilst making sure the adjuster was right at the bottom, allowing full adjustment once tight, I pulled my cable and clamped it as close to the cable at the bottom of the hand brake, this made sure as soon as I applied the hand brake, it started pulling the cable and not the slack in it., I then adjusted it on the vertical 12mm nut for pressure, although its still not 100%, its much much better than I ever had it. Hopefully good enough to pass the MSVA, I may then consider a hydraulic one after its test...

Brakespacer finnished nice to have access to a CNC watercutter. it left a space between disc and brake 2.5-3mm. paint will add 0,3mm

I told you: Building a T1ke is not like building an IKEA bookshelf... A piece of tube does the job. OMG... not an other bush...the brittish love bushes. Why wouldn't they weld one in place for us?
