Thanks RTR
I will probably change the mesh to anodised aluminium over the next couple of months. If I can lose 20 to 30 kg that would be quite noticeable. Appreciate all you are doing to get through the test next week.
Regards Jim

Great news Jim - congrats! Might see you at Stoneleigh, but depends on my Dad, who arrives from Sydney on Saturday for a 5-week stay. If not, will catch up soon.
Cheers, Steve

Hi John, Thanks for your comments, enjoying the driving but missing the build I'm running 205 40 R17, they're a good road tyre and after my wet experience to Goodwood on Friday I would say they're pretty good in the wet I'm running 25psi on the rear and 21psi on the front. I'm planning on some new 16" Momo rims for the track with Toyo R1R tyres. Just looking for the best deal at the moment, hoping I may find some other rims on eBay but I really like the Momo rims ;D Regards Jim

I'm running 16" momo's at the moment Jim and was looking at either parada's or R1Rs but having just read some of the reviews on them thinks it's got to be R1Rs, apparently same compound as the R888s but deeper tread to cope with water as well, a lot of people are saying there not a million miles away from R888s for track grip so i don't think you'll go wrong with them. After all that superb work you've done on your car you don't want to be leaving the track unexpectadly. regards John.

Hi Guys, Well it's been a while since I updated my build thread. Been on the road now for just over 3 months now. In that time I have covered just under 2000 miles ;D so I think I've got all the little issues out the way. No real problems, few scary moments of skidding and losing the back end, the country lanes around where I live are great fun A couple of weeks back I spent the day at Northampton Motorsport, a long day, but worth it. I had the suspension set up and the corner weighting sorted as well. Also had all the rubber boots on the front ball joints replaced as all 4 had split, not good after just 3 months The only major issue I've had was the fuel line coming off the pump, very messy fuel everywhere, no real damage done. So here are some pictures of my latest work and changes since IVA.. Front spoiler fitted, seems to make a difference at around 65mph.. New exhaust, really pleased with this. Sounds great and really feel the extra power it provides over the standard small box type. Next some cooling mods, put a fan to extract the air out the tunnel. Found it gets really hot as the air seems to get trapped, despite the perf at the rear of the tunnel. Just a simple switch on/off, seems to work ok. The other cooling mod was to fit a high powered fan to help remove the air from the radiator. Now this does seem to work quite well, it really pulls the hot air out. It's a high quality fan and about the highest CFM I could get in a small package. The whole unit is removeable and is just off some quick release electrical connections. It would struggle in the rain, but the whole unit could be removed in a couple of minutes. I've tidied up the whole front end, lost the stainless perf and replaced with ally and carbon fibre (thanks Mabbs ;D) That's about it for the moment, thinking about a new rear spoiler and another remake of the engine cover, got some new ideas on this. I hope this is of interest, this car is just sooo much fun ;D ;D Regards Jim
